Pinpoint Adventure | Walking and Trekking

What is it?
Walking and trekking is all about experiencing the best the hills and mountains have to offer by travelling across them on foot. In the UK it could be anything from a day walk in the Lake District, to part or all of the Pennine Way or Hadrian’s Wall footpath, or the Snowdonia Coast-to Coast. Further afield it could be a two week trek on the Tour of Mont Blanc, or the Stubai Horseshoe, or the Pinan Trek in Ecuador – and many more.

Who can do it?
Pinpoint Adventure provides walking and trekking for individuals, groups, schools and companies. A reasonable level of fitness will obviously make the activity more enjoyable.

Where can I do this?
The UK, the mountains of Europe, or anywhere in the World!

When can I do this?
Normally between March and October, although an Alpine trek would need to be in the main summer months

Why book with Pinpoint Adventure?
Pinpoint Adventure only uses qualified and experienced instructors (with a minimum of a Summer Mountain Leader Award for UK based walking and an International Mountain Leader Award for overseas trekking) with a maximum ratio of 1:6 (1 instructor to 6 clients). Because of our geography, teaching and bushcraft backgrounds you will get far more than just a walking leader. If you wish, we will be able to teach you a whole selection of navigation skills and as many ideas as you would like about the geology, glaciation, hydrology and ecology of the mountains we are visiting.

What do I need to bring?
If it is a long distance walk such as the Pennine Way or a trek like the Tour of Mont Blanc, we will supply you with a full and comprehensive equipment list. If it is a day walk it is simply a case of walking boots, a day sack, appropriate clothing, waterproofs, hat, gloves, a packed lunch and a drink, as well as a camera.
