Pinpoint Adventure | Snowshoeing
What is it?
Snowshoeing involves journeying through snowy rolling terrain with snowshoes on your feet to allow you to travel great distances with ease. It provides a very enjoyable and memorable day out, giving an opportunity to travel as the Athabascan and Algonquin Indians did in North America centuries ago. It is a really unusual experience – fun, with a definite taste of adventure. It is also amazing exercise – snowshoeing really burns the calories!
Who can do it?
If you can walk you can snowshoe; we will cover a few simple principles and then we can go on a journey. A reasonable level of fitness makes the day more enjoyable. We offer snowshoeing to both adult groups and school and/or youth groups.
Where can I do this?
Depending on quantities of snow, either in Hadrian’s Wall Country, or one of several locations in the North Pennines such as Garrigill or Hartside
When can I do this?
Obviously, we need snow – hopefully, plenty of it! Give Ian a call, or drop him an e-mail when the snow arrives – we can normally provide this activity at very short notice
